Saul's Recovery Journey
“During the summer of 2017 I started to experience extreme pain in my testicles and a drilling sensation in my pelvis and an unpleasant grabbing feeling through my back passage. Its hard to express the pain.
I resulted having to be hospitalised several times with paramedics called out to give me morphine, yet the cause all seemed like a mystery until eventually a prognosis of prostatitis was given.
I received bilateral nerve blockers and two prostatic massage procedures.
By this point the pain was so great I considered overdosing on all of the Oramorph I had been prescribed amongst a whole range of other medications that were tried to ease the pain that was ruining my life and leaving me in massive financial hardship.
I was also in a terrible relationship that led me to moving to a new house.
Subsequently I had to find a new doctor and I met Dr Peter Miles. Through understanding childhood trauma that I received from a priest and many other things, I suddenly felt much better and I stopped needing dhydracodine that I was taking constantly.
I had multiple consultations with Dr Miles through the very difficult process of withdrawal from the pain medication I had been taking for four years constantly.
Now three months after meeting Dr Miles and after being unable to walk some days due to pain, I now weight training six days a week and enjoying the gift of a restored health.”
