TEDx TALK: A New Perspective – Georgie Oldfield MCSP

In 2019 Georgie Oldfield MCSP was invited to record a TEDx talk. In this talk she explains, using personal experiences as well as observations from patients why, the more experience she gained from treating chronic pain, the more baffled she became. Using findings from a growing evidence base the talk demonstrates how she was able to gain clarity and why it is often possible to improve the chance of doing more than having to ‘manage’ the pain.

The Missing Pieces of the Chronic Pain Puzzle: Irralee Andrzejowska MCSP

Physiotherapist and SIRPA Practitioner, Irralee Andrzejowska, offers an up to date explanation of the cause and treatment of chronic pain. Irralee’s talk is based on the current neuroscience, plus studies showing the effectiveness of cutting edge approaches to the treatment of chronic pain and why we now know that recovery is often possible.

Introduction to Mind-Body Medicine for Health Care Professionals by Dr Sarah Hadfield

This talk was presented to a large group of GPs at a meeting of the British Society for Lifestyle Medicine. Sarah Hadfield is a GP and works as a mind-body practitioner. She is also involved in educating GPs about mind-body medicine. Fiona’s recovery story can be found here

Dr Rangan Chatterjee’s Podcast with Howard Schubiner MD

In November 2022, while Howard was in the UK for the SIRPA conference, he travelled up to be a guest on Rangan’s highly popular podcast.
