Niamh's Recovery Journey
Niamh struggled with debilitating abdominal pain for most of her teenage years, and was finally diagnosed with Endometriosis in 2018 by laparoscopy. The pain persisted despite medical aid and after a second laparoscopy in 2021 she had the diagnosis taken away. This caused some confusion with her doctors as no one knew what to do to help relieve the pain or what might be causing it. She spent years taking painkillers and having endless scans and referrals. Finally deciding to take things into her own hands, she searched for a more holistic way of dealing with her health.
This led her to meeting Shaheen Jaffary and starting a Mind Body coaching course. This course opened her eyes to Neuroplastic pain, and how our thoughts affect everything in our body. She says she found that not only did this course address her physical pain, but the anxiety and deep depression she’d experienced from a young age was also manageable with the tools she was learning.
Niamh says, “The way I see myself and the world has completely transformed and I’m so grateful for the guidance to become someone I always knew I could be.”
After years of debilitating abdominal pain, conflicting endometriosis diagnoses, and endless medical investigations, Niamh turned to mind‑body coaching and discovered that neuroplastic pain—and the anxiety and depression she’d carried since childhood—could be transformed with the right tools. Through this work she not only reduced her physical symptoms but completely reshaped how she sees herself and the world, becoming the person she always knew she could be.
