About Tina Wright
Hello, I’m Tina, a BABCP-accredited Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapist with over 17 years’ experience working across the NHS, charitable organisations, and private practice. I specialise in supporting adults living with chronic pain, persistent physical symptoms, and long-term health conditions.
Many of the people I work with feel exhausted by ongoing symptoms, frustrated by repeated attempts to find answers, and unsure how to move forward. Alongside physical difficulties, there is often anxiety, low mood, self-criticism, or a loss of confidence in the body.
My work integrates evidence-based CBT with mindfulness and mind–body-informed approaches such as SIRPA. I draw on current understanding of chronic pain, central sensitisation, and neuroplastic processes, while working carefully and collaboratively alongside medical care where appropriate. Therapy focuses on understanding the patterns that may be keeping the nervous system in a heightened state, and gently supporting greater safety, flexibility, and resilience.
Alongside my professional training, my work is informed by lived experience of chronic health conditions, which brings realism and sensitivity to the therapeutic space.
I offer thoughtful, paced therapy for people who are looking for a grounded, evidence-informed approach to the mind–body connection. If you’d like to explore whether therapy with me would feel like the right fit, you’re welcome to find further details or make an enquiry via my website:
