About Nicola Race
I am a chartered physiotherapist with 19 years experience and a keen personal and professional interest in the treatment of chronic pain, the effects of trauma/adversity on health and stress-induced symptoms.
I started my own personal recovery from a 7 year chronic neck pain back in 2015, when I attended a SIRPA introduction workshop with immediate positive effects.
This lead to me training as a SIRPA Practitioner in 2016 and I now offer personalised online services with a friendly, understanding and relaxed approach. These sessions are tailored to your individual needs and to fit around your lifestyle.
I have worked within NHS pain services for the past 6yrs, using my pain education, behavioural change approaches and lifestyle advice to help the general public better address the epidemic of chronic pain.
My other interests include neuroscience, the effects of adverse childhood experiences/trauma, health coaching and lifestyle medicine with regards to such topics as diet and sleep (both of which are of paramount importance when treating a chronic pain condition).
In my spare time I enjoy hiking with my Labrador, playing squash and running, learning Italian, singing in a mindfulness presence choir and doing anything outdoorsy (hiking up mountains, paddle boarding, wild swimming, etc).
My professional approach is holistic and based on the latest and best evidence available for both chronic pain and general health and wellbeing.
I offer a free 15 minute telephone consultation for anyone who is interested.
Why wait?!!! Get in touch today…you have nothing to lose, but your pain!
