Matt Kinal

SIRPA Practitioner

About Matt Kinal

Hi I’m Matt, I Physiotherapist with 16 years experience in a variety of settings, including the NHS, professional sport, the prison service and private practice. I’ve had an interest in persistent pain since 2007 after seeing Lorimer Moseley lecture and I have been a SIRPA practitioner since 2014. I have a masters in Pain science and integrate the knowledge I’ve gained from this with my SIRPA training and my experience as a Physiotherapist to help people make sense of their pain, understand the connection between mind and body and start to move forwards and do more of the things they enjoy doing again. People’s pain is unique to them and my aim is to create a relaxed, caring and empathetic environment, which allows people to feel safe and comfortable when exploring the various factors associated with their pain.

I provide face to face sessions in Bristol at The practice rooms in Westbury on Trym and Queens Square, and I regularly work with people online if they live outside of Bristol or would just prefer to work online. I am always happy to have a chat with someone before they make an appointment to help them make a decision about whether to work with me.
