Psychotherapist

My wellbeing journey began back in 2007, when I was diagnosed with CFS and Fibromyalgia—along with a whole host of other symptoms.  Years of feeling overwhelmed, anxious, and searching for answers eventually led me to the mind–body connection. Each step taught me something new about compassion, safety, and what healing truly requires.

When I finally found SIRPA, it felt like the last piece of the jigsaw—the moment everything clicked and my recovery finally made sense, both personally and professionally.

That experience now sits at the centre of my work as a SIRPA Practitioner and Board Member. I’m committed to creating gentle, grounding, human spaces where others can feel understood and supported in the same way I needed.

These blogs are simply an extension of that journey — a place to share the insights, challenges, and shifts that have shaped me. I’m grateful you’re here, and I hope what you read helps you feel a little more informed, a little more supported, and a little more connected as you navigate your own path.

Myth 2 – If I understand enough, I’ll get better

The 10 Myths Series – Myth 2 In Myth 1, we explored one of the most common misunderstandings in neuroplastic recovery — the belief that symptoms are purely physical and therefore must have a physical cause. We reframed this by showing how the nervous system can create very real symptoms in the absence of structural…

Myth 1: “I’m Too Complicated to Heal”

It shows up as self doubt, overthinking, perfectionism, and the sense that your system is uniquely tangled or “too much.” But this belief is not…

The Myths We Carry in Mindbody Recovery

Myth 1: “I’m too complicated to heal.” This is the myth that sits quietly under so many recovery journeys. It shows up as looping, self‑doubt, over-efforting, and the belief that your system is uniquely tangled. But this belief is not a truth — it’s a protection; a nervous system that has lived through overwhelm learns…
